DAY 1: Arrive Washington, DC Area
Fly into the Washington, DC area or arrive by motor coach
(coach charter from city of origin can be added). Transport to
Shenandoah Valley area. Dinner at the Hardware Store. Check into
the Inn
where you will be staying 2 nights.

DAY 2: Charlottesville, Virginia
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. Tour the home of Thomas Jefferson, The Monticello. Lunch at Michie Tavern, a traditional Virginia style meal.
Tour the Natural Bridge and have dinner there.

DAY 3: To Washington, DC
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. Depart hotel on a scenic drive through
the Shenandoah Valley with photo stops en route to DC. Lunch on your own
at Union Station with free time for shopping. A step-on guide takes the group
on a tour of Capitol Hill to include: Capitol Building, Library of Congress,
and the Supreme Court Building. Dinner is at the Flagship Restaurant and
then check in to your hotel where you will be staying for 4 nights.

DAY 4: Washington, DC
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. A step-on guide takes us on an all
day tour to include: Arlington National Cemetery, photo stop at the White
House, Old Post Office Pavilion, Embassy row, Washington National Cathedral,
and the FDR Memorial. Dinner is at Tony & Joe’s on the Georgetown
waterfront. This evening is a lighted tour of the Iwo Jima statue, Kennedy
Center, and Jefferson Memorial before returning to the hotel.

DAY 5: Smithsonian Institution
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. Tour the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center
which includes the Space Shuttle Enterprise and the B-29 fortress “Enola
Gay”. This afternoon, tour specific areas of interest on your own.

DAY 6: Cherry Blossom Festival
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. Sit in reserved seats for the Cherry
Blossom Parade. Lunch on your own at the National Mall. While at the mall
you may choose to take in the National Museum of American History, the National
Museum of Natural History, or the National Gallery of Art. After rejoining
the guide, there’s a photo opportunity of the Cherry Blossoms in the
Tidal Basin before continuing the tour of: WWII Memorial, Vietnam Veterans
Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Dinner
is at the Orlean’s House before returning to the hotel.

DAY 7: TRAVEL HOME
Extended continental breakfast at hotel. Time to depart the DC area back to
your city of origin.
